Equipped with a 6-7 plus length frame and explosive athleticism, bouncy wing Carrington McCaskill of Detroit Renaissance High School in Michigan has continued his progression the past few months firmly establishing himself as a Division 1 prospect with his best years in front of him.

Athletically in terms of current, potential, and explosiveness few compare in the Midwest as McCaskill is impressive in terms of both his quickness and ability to elevate regardless of the situation.  Add to the mix the length and you have a perfect recipe for a potential defensive standout at the Division 1 level.

On the skill side McCaskill is comfortable at the mid-range area, his bounce and athleticism give him excellent potential rebounding the basketball and finishing with either hand in the paint.  He can finish in transition with highlight reel dunks or just utilizing simple easy athletic moves to slash through contact or just elevate over them.  His range extends out the mid-range area and he’s also shown an improved stroke beyond the arc.  Far from a finished product, McCaskill is really just starting to realize his big picture potential and his best basketball lies ahead…much to the delight of Division 1 programs already on his trail.

He holds offers from Cleveland State, Detroit, UT-Martin, Buffalo, Kent State, UW-Milwaukee, and Oakland.  Arguably one of the better secrets in Michigan to this point, McCaskill is primed to be a huge story over the next 8-10 months in Michigan as athletically he’s a high major talent and skill wise there’s still a substantial amount of clay to mold him into a versatile impact wing on both ends of the court at the next level.  He’s definitely trending in the right direction and he’s one to watch closely in Michigan this spring and summer.

He plays with the R.E.A.C.H. Legends during the grassroots travel season.
