Austin Garner – 2020 – G/F – Byron Nelson (TX) – 3D Empire
A multi-dimensional wing with an ability to score from multiple levels and fill the box score. He had a solid spring session alongside first team selection Baylor Hebb and he continued to deliver quality efforts in the summer for 3D Empire, a talented fast growing program out of Texas. Garner is a quality player on both ends and his ability to impact the game in a variety of ways was impressive throughout the spring and summer.
Carson Smith – 2020 – G – Sussex Hamilton (WI) – Phenom University NY2LA
An excellent sharpshooting guard with an ability to take over the game at times from beyond the arc, Smith has a textbook pure perimeter stroke and he can make it coming off screens or spotting up on the break. One of the top pure shooting specialists at the 17U level, Smith is a quality high Division 2 prospect whose best basketball is in front of him.
Sam Schultz – 2020 – F – Oswego East (IL) – H.I.T. Basketball
A talented 6-8 plus double double prospect with an ability to score at multiple levels and clean the glass on both ends. He’s got size, instincts, feel, etc. and he has the ability to impact the floor in a variety of ways. He can face up with range that extends to the mid-range level and he showed an ability to finish around the basket in a variety of ways. His best basketball lies ahead.
Solomon White – 2020 – PG – Forest Hills Eastern (MI) – Grand Rapids Storm
A talented guard with size, length, handles, and skill, White had a stellar spring campaign where he helped his team to a 4-0 mark. During both sessions he showed an ability to score from multiple levels, a quality perimeter stroke, excellent feel, and quality decision making. A talented guard who should be grabbed high D2 attention, White is one to watch closely as his best basketball is in front of him.
Nate Shockey – 2020 – G – York (IL) – Breakaway
Already holding Division 1 offers, Shockey is another of the intriguing prospects that took to the court this past spring and summer. He can score at multiple levels and he delivered some solid performances in helping his team to an undefeated mark during the spring session. He slowed some during the July period but his overall body of work was solid and continued to evidence that he’s one of the developing stories in the 2020 class in Illinois. A talented marksman with game, Shockey opened a lot of eyes this spring and summer with some quality efforts.
