The class of 2020 prospects across the country continue to head down the home stretch of their recruiting with lists being trimmed down and official visits taking place. One such talent who’s in the midst of said activities with a plan to commit prior to his upcoming season is PG Wendell Green Jr. of the La Lumiere School in Indiana.

A 5-11 alpha type lead guard, Green wrapped up an exceptional spring and summer campaign while helping his Michigan Playmakers 17U team to the championships of the NY2LA Basketball Association. In the process Green league MVP and All-league first team honors based off his stellar play. Whether it’s handling the ball and attacking to create or doing the same to score Green brings a max effort to the hardwood and that fill the box style of play combined with leadership and toughness should make him a steal at the collegiate level.
Green holds offers from DePaul, Eastern Kentucky, Rhode Island, UW-Milwaukee, Detroit, Eastern Michigan, Oakland, Akron, Toledo, and Illinois-Chicago. He’s also getting some late interest from Missouri and UCSB. That being said he indicated this week that he’s planning on committing before the season.
The young man is on an official visit to Eastern Kentucky this weekend. He also has plans to take an official visit Akron September 6-8th and he also indicated he will be taking official visits to Rhode Island and Toledo but those dates have not been finalized.
Primed for a big senior year at La Lumiere, Green remains one of the better 2020 lead guards left on the board in the Midwest and his best years on the hardwood lie ahead.
