With all of the talent at the NY2LA Futures Camp this past Saturday, it was very difficult to choose amongst all the freshman and sophomore at the camp. Here are those that stood out the most at the loaded camp.

Blessed Barhayiga – 2022 – F/C – Osseo Senior HS (MN)
Strong and active 6’8” post with a wide frame. Tough to defend down low with his strength and aggressiveness. Good scorer in the paint as he can just overpower defenders. Good rim runner to score in transition as well. With all his attributes, he was very tough to keep off the glass. Barhayiga is already playing at a high level and has an even higher ceiling.

Learic Davis – 2022 – SF – Bradley Tech (WI)
Long and bouncy sophomore with a good combination of size and talent. Scored the ball at a high level at the camp, mainly taking it to the basket. Good driver for size who has nice moves off the bounce and can handle the ball. Also, was able to knock down a few jumpers from the mid-range and beyond the arc.

Chevalier Emery – 2022 – PG – Neenah HS (WI)
High scoring point guard that can also distribute the basketball well. Smooth shooter from beyond the arc that can also take it to the basket. Good scorer but doesn’t force anything. Sees the floor well on the drive and dishes it out nicely. Plays at a fast pace and just outworks opponents.

Aries Hull - 2023 – PF – Home School (IL)
Long 6’7” freshman forward with plenty of skill that can contribute big on the court. Moves well and has good agility for his size. With his length and mobility, Hull defends well on the interior and has the ability to switch out on to the perimeter. Scores well in the paint but can also put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket. Tough on the glass, grabs rebounds in bunches. One of the top 2023 forwards in the area.

Danilo Jovanovich – 2022 – G/F – Whitnall HS (WI)
Talented guard/forward with good size at 6’6” that contributes well on both ends of the court. Skilled scorer that can fill it up from all three levels. Smooth jumper to knock down shots from three, shoots it well off the dribble in the mid-range, and good finisher around the basket off of drives and cuts. Smart and versatile defender who plays tough defense and rebounds well on both ends.

Kaden Monroe – 2022 – PF – Bayview HS (WI)
Strong wide body post who battles in the paint on both ends and plays smart. Scores well around the basket with strong back to the basket moves. Though also scored with nice touch from the mid-range, dump offs, and rolling to the basket. One of the top post scorers at the camp.

Bryce Tillery – 2023 – PG – Hillcrest HS (IL)
Dynamic point guard with the basketball. Extremely quick and shifty with the ball, and blows by defenders with his acceleration. With his ability to quickly rise up and hit jumpers off the dribble but also take it to the basket and finish it well, Tilley is very tricky to defend. Very difficult to stick with and can score it in so many ways. Also has good vision on the drive and played good pressure defender.

Ethan Thomas – 2023 – F/C – Greenfield HS (WI)
Long rangy big man with a high ceiling. Very active and contributes on both ends, especially on defense. Big presence in the middle blocking several shots, but forced even more bad shots and deterred many drivers from the paint. With his mobility and length can also defend forwards and wings on the perimeter. Does a good job scoring the ball at a high percentage around the basket.

Seth Trimble – 2022 – PG – Menomonee Falls HS (WI)
Skilled point guard that can score and distribute the basketball at a high rate. Very good with the basketball; good quickness, shifty moves and changes speeds well, making him difficult to stick with. Always attacking the defense to create for himself and teammates. Smooth shooter off the dribble from all over but also sees the floor well on the move.
