With 52 courts of action at the Grassroots Showcase and teams in attendance from across the nation, there was just an incredible amount of talented on hand. Here are the players from the 15U level that stood out the most over the weekend on the big stage. 

Yemi Aladakere – 2024 – G – Team Temple
A well-built point guard that is incredibly effective when attacking the basket to both score and distribute the ball very well. With his strength, he absorbs contact to get to the basket and then finishes inside strongly but also showed great vision and decision-making ability. He is an active defender that really works to shut down his man and it tough to beat off the dribble. 

Dominick Hobbs – 2024 – G – Illinois Predators
Hobbs is a smart and skilled freshman point guard. He has great quickness with the ball to score at a high rate attacking the basket. Hobbs showed off good awareness and always knew where to go with the ball plus to either get to the rim or dish it out with some nice passes. He came up clutch in one game Saturday drilling a tough contested three in the final seconds of a game to tie it up and send it to overtime. 

Sincere Horrison – 2024 – G – C2K Elite
Horrison is a point guard that is a very effective player with the ball in his hands that made everyone around him better throughout the weekend. He moves extremely well with the ball with his tight handle to always be getting into the paint and creating great looks for his teammates. A smart decision maker that was always a step ahead of the defense to rack up the assists. 

Kon Knueppel – 2024 – G – Phenom University
The 6’4” freshman wing guard is a knockdown shooter with a pure looking jumper spotting up from three. In addition to just not missing when he was spotting up from three, Knueppel also shot it well off the dribble when pulling up in the mid-range. He moves well with the ball in his hands and knows how to play. A highly skilled scorer with great upside.

Tyler McKinley – 2024 – F – All-Ohio Red
A 6’6” forward with great skills and upside. The forward handles the ball well to get to the basket or can simply overpower defenders to score around the basket at a high rate. Plus, McKinley can also knock down shots from the outside. The freshman has a very good motor and is able to do a lot on the floor. There’s a lot to like already about his game and aggressive style of play on both sides of the ball.  

Ryan Meehan – 2024 – G – JH1 Elite
Meehan is a skilled guard with some size at 6’3” that can flat out score the basketball. Meehan showed that he is a knockdown shooter when spotting up from the perimeter. Though he also plays well with the ball and scores attacking the basket off dribble. He is a smart guard that is an efficient and versatile scorer. 

Brenton Moore – 2024 – G – Louisville Legends
Moore is a high IQ point guard that showed a great ability to create for his teammates. He does a nice job attacking the defense looking to distribute the ball out racking up the assists. He has good handle and maneuvers well with the ball, plus he is able to read the floor so well. 

MJ Stackhouse – 2024 – F/C – World Hoops Elite
The big man was near dominant at times just taking over games in stretches. Stackhouse is just bigger, stronger, and more aggressive than the opposition to score at a high rate inside and grab every rebound in sight. Additionally, he has some good skills to his game hitting shots from the outside and being able to put the ball on the floor. 

Tyler Suttner – 2024 – G – Wisconsin RAP
The freshman guard is incredibly good with the ball in his hands attacking. He has great moves off the dribble attacking to beat defenders and glides to the basket quickly with ease. Once he gets into the paint, Suttner finishes well in traffic through contact for a couple and-one plays. 

KJ Windham – 2024 – G – Meanstreets
The highly skilled guard scored it in bunches but is also an unselfish player that doesn’t force anything to score it at a high percentage. He scored the ball very well from the perimeter hitting threes spotting up as well as off the catch with a great looking jumper but always scored attacking the basket by exploding quickly past defenders.
