Another day at the Spring Extravaganza and another day of baselines packed with college coaches. Baylor, Georgia Tech, Marquette, Michigan State, Ohio State, Texas, Wisconsin, are just a small sample of the coaches that were in attendance today. Here are just a few of the players that had big performances today.
Xavier Booker – 2023 – C – George Hill All Indy
Right in front of a large contingency of college coaches Booker did not disappoint, scoring 25 points in a game. There are very few high schoolers at Bookers height and length who can knockdown threes and have good moves off the dribble like he does. Such a unique talent that only continues to improve his game. Booker has an incredibly high ceiling with all he can do.
Durral Brooks – 2024 – G – The Family
Last weekend at the Swish N’ Dish, Brooks was one of our top performers at the 16U level, this weekend with his team playing up at the 17U level he continues to shine. In one of his game today the sophomore dropped 25 points as well to flashing his passing ability. On the attack, he just cannot be stopped with his moves as well as his toughness.
Conner Smith – 2025 – PG – Mid Pro Academy
One of the best performances I’ve seen this spring from a member of the 2025 class. Not only did Smith drill six three pointers but was also a playmaker playing with the ball. He is strong with the ball in his hands, made several tremendous passes, and sees the floor very well.
Will Hornseth – 2024 – F – WI Blizzard
In his games today Hornseth scored 19 points as well as 25 points on a highly efficient 12 of 14 from the floor. For a 6’8” sophomore he has such a well-rounded skill set. Not only does he score it very well in the post but even more impressively spotting up from three and putting the ball on the floor. He is also a skilled passer and rebounds at a high rate. One of the more skilled 2024 big men around.
Nasir Whitlock – 2023 – PG – Gain Elite
The point guard has such a great ability to both score and distribute the ball. He scored 24 points in a game today getting to the rim as well as hitting shots off the dribble. Whitlock sees the floor extremely well and is a good decision maker with the ball in his hands. He has all the tools of a quality point guard and more.
