Another great day of hoops on Sunday to wrap up the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza. Once again, the baseline was loaded with college coaches. Here are some of the players that stood out on Sunday.

Kuol Atak – 2024 – PF – 3D Hoops Academy

The sophomore forward has continued to improve leading to his breakout 29-point performance on Sunday. He has good size at 6’8” and length but has really grown his overall skills. Not only did he score it well around the basket but can also knock down jumpers and put the ball on the floor. Atak has an incredibly high ceiling with his skills and physical tools.

Nick Basson – 2023 – SG – Rocky Mountain Sports

Basson has a tremendous performance to lead his team to a win over a good UTS squad. A high IQ guard with a good all-around game that was scoring the ball at a high rate. He finished with a whopping 26 points doing much of his damage from deep hitting five threes.

Nick Evanson – 2023 – G – Minnesota Comets Elite

Throughout his game today, Evanson flashed a great all-around game. He is very smart with the ball in his hands plus scored and distributed the ball well. The junior has a good ability to create for himself and hit shots off the dribble as well as get to the basket and finish.

Luther Smith – 2023 – G – MTXE Premier

Smith continued his tremendous spring on Sunday scoring an efficient 18 points. A dynamic scorer that plays so well off the dribble attacking but also shoots it well from the outside. He has continued to prove to be one of the better scorers around this spring with two big weekends back-to-back.

Nino Smith – 2023 – PG – Michigan Playmakers

One of the top distributors of the tournament. Smith has an incredible ability to get into the defense to create for his teammates. With his quickness he was living around the paint and sees the floor so well on the move. All game today Smith was racking up the assists as he always knew where to go with the ball.
