While just starting up his sophomore year and missing his freshman high school to an injury, Jonny Jordan just earned his first division one offer and build interest from a few other division one schools. The spike in his recruitment comes after a strong grassroots season with Brad Beal Elite. The offer for the 6’2” point guard of Chaminade College Prep (MO) came from Austin Peay.

“Getting the offer was exciting,” Jordan said about receiving his first offer. “I am very grateful that Austin Peay believed in me enough to offer me.” He received the offer from the Atlantic Sun program last month after attending their elite camp. “Austin Peay’s elite camp was really fun and competitive,” he said about the experience. “I liked their team culture and environment. I also really like the coaching staff and the way Coach Gipson coaches.

When talking about his own game, Jordan described it as “an all-around point guard.” He added in about being able to score on all three levels but “really enjoy setting my teammates up for buckets.”

With Jordan and a strong roster, Brad Beal Elite was one of the top 15U teams on the EYBL this past season. “It was a good experience. It was fun to play against elite competition all summer. I had great teammates and coaches. BBE is a great organization and I really enjoyed playing for them.”

Some of the other division one programs showing interest in Jordan right now include Jacksonville University, Southeast Missouri State, and St. Louis University. He is looking to take a visit to Austin Peay next month.
