Over the past year, John Fleeman has developed into one of the area’s top 2026 big men. With the growth of his game, the 6’11” sophomore post of Kingsville High School (MO) has recently picked up his first division one offer.
Back in November, Tulsa became the first school to offer the sophomore. In addition to the Tulsa offer, Fleeman has also heard from several other programs. “It is still pretty early in the process, so I am looking forward to seeing what this spring and summer bring,” he said regarding his current recruitment.
The offer from Tulsa came while he was takin a visit to the American Athletic Conference program. “I had a great unofficial visit to Tulsa,” Fleeman said about his trip there. “I really like their coaching staff and how they do things. They have great facilities, it is a good school, and they are going to keep getting better and better.”
In addition to his visit to Tulsa, he also took one to Omaha. “The coaching staff there is building that program and I look for them to continue to grow. I like how they practice and the energy they bring. The town of Omaha is also a fun place.”
In his sophomore season, Fleeman is averaging 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game. “Inside out,” Fleeman first said describing his own game. “Most people just see my post game at first, but when they see I can step out and shoot it, handle the ball, and how I pass the ball they start to take notice.”
